CREDE played a critical role in the slope erosion repair project adjacent to Cowan Avenue Elementary School in Playa Vista, CA, providing comprehensive Project and Construction Management services. Despite facing one of the wettest winters in recent history (2024), our team successfully kept construction operations on schedule, ensuring a safe and efficient restoration.

Our team oversaw every phase of development, including:
- Site Preparation & Infrastructure Work: Managing demolition, clearing and grubbing, over-excavation, mass grading, and soil import.
- Slope Stabilization & Finishing: Ensuring fine grading, concrete and V-ditch application, AC paving, fence installation, and hydroseed application were executed to the highest standards.
- Multi-Agency Coordination: Successfully navigating requirements from Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety.
- Bid Administration & Contract Management: Handling bid procurement, contract development, permit coordination, and compliance oversight to maintain project integrity.
- Financial & Compliance Oversight: Managing contract administration, cost control, labor compliance, CFD reimbursements, change orders, and pay application reviews.

Through constructability reviews, value engineering, and meticulous project oversight, CREDE ensured the project was completed efficiently, mitigating risks while delivering lasting infrastructure improvements. Our ability to coordinate with multiple jurisdictions and adapt to challenging weather conditions underscores our expertise in complex construction management.
