War Heroes on Water and Freedom Alliance

At CREDE, we are deeply committed to giving back to those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms. Supporting our nation’s veterans is a cornerstone of our community engagement efforts, and we are honored to partner with organizations that make a profound difference in their lives. Two such organizations, War Heroes on Water (WHOW) and the Freedom Alliance, embody this mission through their dedication to empowering, healing, and uplifting combat-wounded veterans and their families. Through our partnerships and events, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for these heroes to find healing, build connections, and receive the support they deserve. By working with WHOW and Freedom Alliance, we proudly contribute to initiatives that address the physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by veterans as they transition back to civilian life.
War Heroes on Water offers a unique and transformative experience for veterans, leveraging the therapeutic power of sport fishing and camaraderie on the open water. Each year, WHOW brings together combat-wounded veterans for a multi-day fishing tournament, where they connect with others who share similar experiences and build a support network that extends far beyond the event. The healing environment created by WHOW fosters emotional resilience, mental clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose for those who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms.
Freedom Alliance takes a comprehensive approach to supporting veterans and their families, focusing on areas such as financial assistance, educational opportunities, and emotional support. Through programs like their Scholarship Fund for Children of Fallen Heroes, Heroes Retreats, and Support Our Troops initiatives, Freedom Alliance addresses the unique challenges faced by military families. Their work ensures that veterans and their loved ones are equipped with the resources they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

To amplify the missions of these impactful organizations, CREDE hosts the annual CREDE Days of Summer Fundraising Event, a vibrant celebration on the beach featuring live music, a silent auction, and an opportunity drawing. This event not only brings together our team and community but also raises vital funds to directly support WHOW and Freedom Alliance, enabling them to continue their essential work.
Through events like CREDE Days of Summer and our steadfast commitment to these causes, we aim to give back to those who have given so much. By supporting War Heroes on Water and Freedom Alliance, we are proud to stand alongside our nation’s veterans, helping them heal, grow, and thrive.

Team 100 and Food Finders Long Beach

At CREDE, we are passionate about fostering meaningful change in our communities, especially in the fight against food insecurity and poverty. Through our partnerships with Team 100 and Food Finders Long Beach, we are able to contribute to initiatives that provide critical resources and support to underserved populations. Our commitment goes beyond financial contributions; it is rooted in action, collaboration, and a shared vision of building stronger, healthier communities.
Team 100 is a grassroots organization dedicated to serving vulnerable individuals and families by providing essentials such as food, clothing, and hygiene items. Their approach focuses on creating personal connections and restoring dignity to those facing hardship. CREDE is proud to support Team 100’s mission, with our CEO, Colby Durnin, actively serving on its board. Colby’s leadership and involvement ensure that CREDE plays a key role in guiding the organization’s strategic efforts and expanding its impact. Together with Team 100, we are helping to address the immediate needs of those in crisis while fostering a sense of hope and opportunity for the future.

Food Finders Long Beach is a renowned food rescue and distribution nonprofit that tackles hunger and food waste across Southern California. By partnering with grocery stores, restaurants, and food manufacturers, Food Finders collects surplus food and redirects it to shelters, food banks, and community organizations, ensuring that nutritious meals reach those in need. This dual-purpose mission not only reduces waste but also provides sustainable solutions to hunger in our communities. CREDE actively supports Food Finders through fundraising and volunteer efforts, underscoring our commitment to addressing food insecurity on a broad scale.

To further these efforts, CREDE participates in and organizes initiatives to amplify the work of Team 100 and Food Finders Long Beach. Through events, community engagement, and hands-on support, we aim to make a lasting impact on individuals and families in need.
